Whatever she touches turns to gold! Bonang Matheba on Monday launched her own gold packaged alcohol beverage under her House of BNG brand. She took to social media on the day to announce the exciting news. “Welcome to the House of BNG… two years in the making & my love letter to Africa!! “I introduce my brand new Brut & Brut Rosé MCCs… it’s time to celebrate!!” she said.

In true Bonang style, the event was held at the fancy Waterfall Estate in Johannesburg. Celebrities came in their numbers to support the TV personality and entrepreneur. The event was decked out in gold bottles of luxury sparkling wine and grand décor.

As a lover of champagne, one would have thought she would launch her own champagne brand, but not quite, and she explains why: “We have some of the world’s best grapes here in South Africa, so I decided to make a Méthode Cap Classique wine, which is made exactly the same way as champagne, but using Cape grapes. This is my love letter to Africa, and I’m excited to introduce it to the world. It’s no secret that champagne is my favourite drink, so getting the chance to make my own MCC was an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on,” says Bonang.

For now, the House of BNG Brut and Brut Rosé will be sold exclusively at selected Woolworths stores nationwide and on Woolworths online and later will also be released in other retail stores.
