Salon
Geisha is a boutique nail salon & beauty bar located in the vibrant
community of Parkhurst. This owner managed salon is founded by Gwen Bircham,
who left a successful career in corporate to answer a strong calling to live
her purpose, which lead her to creating this unique space where the main
priority is good vibes and love!
Geisha is a celebration of all things beautiful, back in the day Geishas were trained in many arts and followed fascinating beauty routines to ensure they were seen as mystical goddesses. The Salon Geisha team believe that all women are goddesses and wanted to create a magical wonderland where women could unwind and practice the art of self-love. Women are often so selfless, and rarely take time for themselves.
“Salon Geisha – A place where pretty hands find flawless nails”
We wanted to create a fun boutique experience where life slows down and every client is reminded of her radiant beauty. The unique concept and salon look, and feel are a must see to fully understand how magical this space is. Guests are welcomed with a selection of fine quality teas, adorned with silk slippers and are visually stimulated by its beautiful finishings. Every detail has been thought of and every whim has been catered for!
The Geisha team describe themselves as a girl-tribe whose mission is to spread beauty and love to the beautiful women of South Africa. Happiness starts at home and this team spend their days truly enjoying what they do and each other’s company. This can easily be felt in this good vibe salon!
Split End Distribution Pty Ltd is a Cape Town based small business owned by Lynn Rose. It was started with a main goal in mind; to provide the South African professional hair industry with high quality and yet affordable products.

“I started the business almost three years ago by selling consumables to professional hair salons. I’m a beauty therapist and also have sales experience in the hair industry. Our products are cruelty-free, paraben-free and carcinogenic-free. By manufacturing our products locally, we have control over quality, and the ability to develop and manufacture products efficiently and timeously, says Lynn.
Last year, she saw a gap in the industry for a concept like Soak Off Solutions (SOS), first of its kind in the South African market and launched it at the Joburg Professional Beauty Expo.
Soak off Solutions (SOS)
Each kit contains three soak-offs. It is a professional gel polish soak-off packaged for home use. The product was borne from a need for an alternative to having to go into the salon for a soak-off. It is a product of convenience and simplicity.
“To make the phone call, drive to the salon, pay for parking, all for a 15min soak-off leaves many people trying to remove it themselves. Its very tempting when the gel starts to lift to pick at it and peel and bite it off. This removes not only the gel polish but a layer of your nail too, causing damaged and weak nails,” says Lynn .
While many salons use straight acetone, our Soak off Solution is infused with Argan Oil and Vitamin E to counteract the drying effects of the acetone. SOS is produced and manufactured locally using high quality ingredients.
SOS is for soft gel
polishes only NOT for acrylics, hard gels or hybrids.
Each kit contains:
1 buffer block
30 pre-cut foils
30ml Soak off
Solution
1 cuticle stick
1ml cuticle oil
The directions on
the back are very simple to follow. It’s a very easy product to use.
SOS is looking for a distributor in Gauteng –
